Feeding the Homeless

AFTER END OF SPRING JAMBOREE
June 21, 2026

Following the End of Spring Jamboree on June 21, 2026, our HLSA families came together to extend the celebration beyond the field by feeding the homeless. It was a beautiful way to share the joy of the season’s close — turning teamwork and generosity into real impact for those in need.

This act of service reflects the heart of our mission: building unity, caring for our community, and showing that every event can spark hope both on and off the field.

BOTTLE AND CAN DRIVE FUNDRAISER

TRINITY HEALTH STADIUM
June 20, 2026

During the Annual CommUnity Soccer Showcase, Hartford Lions Soccer Academy hosted a Bottle & Can Drive Fundraiser that brought families, players, and supporters together for a cause beyond the game.

It was a very wonderful fundraising effort, since participants were not only helping fulfill the youth’s soccer dreams but also caring for the environment through recycling. This dual impact made the event truly special — strengthening HLSA programs while promoting sustainability.

By combining sports, community spirit, and environmental responsibility, the fundraiser showed how unity can create lasting change both on and off the field.

HLSA AT THE US VS. AUSTRALIA WATCH PARTY

Pratt Street
June 19, 2026

On June 19, 2026, Hartford Lions Soccer Academy proudly participated in the Team USA vs. Australia watch party at Pratt Street by setting up an information table.

Surrounded by the excitement of the match and the energy of the crowd, our table gave families and fans a chance to learn more about HLSA programs, upcoming events, and ways to get involved.

It was a great opportunity to connect with the community, share our mission, and celebrate soccer together in a lively, family‑friendly atmosphere.

Winter Community Outreach

FREE JACKETS & BOOTS
January 12-13, 2026

HLSA provided free jackets and boots to the community last January 12–13, distributing nearly 150 items to share warmth during the cold season.

Just as our sponsors show love and support to HLSA, we make it our mission to extend that same love back to the community. Through this outreach, we continue to stand with those in need, offering not only clothing but also hope, care, and a reminder that no one is alone.

Together, with the generosity of our sponsors and the commitment of HLSA—we are building a stronger, warmer, and more united community.

HLSA proudly joins the Black Business Expo—an opportunity to share our mission with the wider community.

By being present, we not only celebrate Black excellence and entrepreneurship but also let families know that HLSA is here to empower children through soccer, education, and mentorship. Together, we build pathways for success both on and off the field

SUMMER OF SOCCER

Summer of Soccer is a huge campaign, and HLSA is honored to be part of it.

By partnering with the City of Hartford and local organizations, we are helping bring the world’s game home to our community.

Our founder, Kenniel Martin, proudly supports this initiative,
showing that HLSA’s mission is not only about soccer—it’s about unity, opportunity, and community impact.
